Staff & Students,
A few of you may have noticed that the kitchen has been damaged due to a small incident between students here. Contractors will be entering the building to make repairs between 1 PM to 7 PM on March 15th. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.
Professor Erik Lehnsherr

OOC: This'll be a short thread, I think. Just them getting their names and then going to the Danger Room to practice their fighting in potential locations they may have to fight the Horsemen in. If you want to join the fight in Chicago that takes place after this thread against Pestilence and the Herald please join Come and See

All the staff offices in the mansion were essentially the same: all of them were large and ornate with mahogany furniture, long velvet curtains, shelves leaden with books lining the walls, exquisite plush carpets, and various tasteful etchings in frames on the walls - all very white upper-class. However, if you looked closely every room had small personal touches which the current occupant imposed on the space.
Erik's office, for instance, had an iron paperweight currently in the shape of a sphere sitting on a stack of papers, a newton's cradle tapping away on the desk, a very nice state-of-the-art desktop computer, a framed photograph of a baby in a knit sweater sitting in the sand and - more alarmingly - a plaque on the wall lined with various nazi memorabilia including several of the party pins, a few medals and a silver reichsmark coin.
Today he was supposed to be seeing the school's newest student - Pietro Maximoff - to discuss a few things but so far the boy had yet to show up (though that was no shock, it was fifteen minutes till their scheduled appointment, after all) so he had decided to spend the time doing something productive and had begun drafting a lesson plan for any students needing extra credit - a series of paperclips floating in a continuous infinity sign nearby a testament to his concentration - and, perhaps, a metaphor of his state of mind as he wrote in a fluid scrawl on a pad of legal paper.

Erik sighed at looked at his watch. "Thirty minutes left," he said to the students he had in this classroom who were scribbling away at his extra credit multiple choice test from hell in a vain attempt to boost their grades. "If you know the answer, you know the answer. Have confidence and don't agonize over the order of the letters."
This was a little cruel perhaps. He knew he'd made a test specifically to torture his students by making the answers to the first column 'A' and the second column 'B' and so on all the way up to 'D'. A fact which - much to his delight - was making more than a few of them panic if their expressions were anything to go by but he couldn't help it, he was having far too much fun watching them try to figure it out. Satisfied, he picked up the book he'd brought to pass the time - Tinker Tailor Solider Spy - and began reading once again. "This is easily the best Hanukkah present I've ever given to myself."
[OOC: third or fourth person to post, please feel free to have the outside wall explode and collapse into the room. The explosive will be on the other side, it's high powered, so everyone should be deafened and a few injuries may occur from falling debris should you choose.]

Erik watched his students file out one by one, waiting until most had left the class before speaking: "Lorna, a moment of your time, please?"
He hesitated for a moment, trying to think of a way to word this but every single way he could think of to get this conversation off the ground seemed ridiculous to him, which this conversation - much like his worries and suspicions - was almost bound to be as well. After all, there were plenty of telepaths in this school and none of them were related to Charles and he'd only been in America a handful of times since he began university in England in 1992 and immigrated to Israel in 1996. So, the chances that he'd somehow managed to father an illegitimate child in this country were very slim, but still…
Goddamn you for having a ancestral home in New York, Charles. If this happened on one of our vacations here I'll never forgive you.
Of course, now he was just sitting here staring at the girl and probably making her nervous. "I was just wondering if you could clarify a few things about your personal history. It appears we lost a few things in our files due to a computer glitch and it's important that we keep complete records for a variety of reasons," he lied quickly and effortlessly.
