The walk back to the school from Harry's Hideaway had not sobered her as much as Lorna had claimed it would upon setting out. She had stumbled most of the way and was probably only alive due to the thankful lack of cars going on the road between here and there. She wasn't over her stumbling yet as she came through the kitchen door, swearing as she hip-checked herself against the counter. That surely hadn't been as close as it was now? Someone had to be fucking with her which was just cruel. Who fucked with drunk people?

Normally Lorna Dane was a happy drunk, normally she was an annoying drunk as well, prone to pulling mostly unwilling people out to dance and sing. She was capable of making a fool of herself in a way that she never would dream in her sober hours. This hadn't been her normal outing, though. She hadn't taken anyone with her this time; drinking alone was an experience that Lorna hadn't exactly thought she would ever have. The appeal for it was simply not there for her until, like a flash of lightning, it was and it was the only thing for her to do with her time once it was had.

She made it as far as the bar before she desperately needed to cling to something which was a nice thing, progress was surely being made. Normally she was a happy drunk but now there wasn't any of that happiness in her. She was tired, she was angry, and she never before had this much of a craving to simply let that anger out. She needed to hit something and the Danger Room sounded like the best idea. It was the safest idea but Lorna was almost sure that it wouldn't truly sate her need for her fist to connect to something solid, to something that had caused her this pain she didn't know what to do with anymore. She held onto the bar, digging her fingers in as much as one actually could on such a hard surface. Coffee, she would surely see things more clearly after coffee. She just had to manage to make that coffee.

There was a tingling sensation that told some of Lorna's brain that she was not only drunk but that she had also drank more than enough. There was some sense of moderation in her brain but that was something to be completely ignored as the rest of her brain was having far too good of a time pickling itself to do anything besides dismiss that last few strains of sense and sobriety and drink full steam ahead. With a freshly empty glass grasped tightly in her hand, Lorna practically skipped up to the bar. Surely if she could still manage the complicated motions and balance of skipping it couldn't be said she was too far gone.

"Barkeep, tequila! Mas tequila, mucho tequila, whatever it is, more please." That, however, didn't exactly sound like Lorna at her most convincingly sober. The look she received from the bartender made her wonder if she had perhaps overstretched her luck. Whether she was still sober enough or whether this particular bartender was very susceptible to girls bouncing up to the bar and giving him a slight bit of puppy eye she soon was int he possession of a full glass instead and now had to actually come away from the bar with it.

That was the challenge, to get back to the table with her newly acquired glass. Lorna locked eyes with her destination and the familiar faces of the people she had come in with. With a stiffening of her back and an overly confident foot forward she began the drunks' waltz back to the table . One didn't skip with a full glass, after all. She could make it, she could absolutely make it. She just had to stay cool.

Also, she had to avoid the others in the waltz which proved to be too much to ask. "Goddammit!" She stepped back as a drink found it's way to her front after a collision into a particularly toasted man around her own age. "If you wanted a wet-t-shirt contest you're a few contestants short; watch where you're going." With a mild swear Lorna stomped her way to the table, putting her drink down with a clang and grabbing a handful of napkins. "Goddamn, what was he drinking/ I'm going to smell like a hobo all night now."

Her palms were sweaty and, to tell the truth, her entire body aside from her brain was in flight mode. She should go back up the stairs and never come around the person she was seeking out again. It did make sense. It wasn't as if Cecilia was going to want to see her and it also wasn't as if her being here was going to help anything but herself. She was probably the last thing on the other person's mind and the last person that she would want to talk to. Lorna couldn't be certain but she had a damned good feeling that she was the last person who had even talked to Cecilia before she had headed for the garage; a straw perhaps breaking the camel's back. Why wave that straw in her face now?

If she didn't at least try and do something it was going to fester. Lorna could feel it all ready and there was just too much also in the pot boiling over to step back now. She was going to have to see Cecilia eventually unless one of them went home and that wasn't something Lorna wanted happening. Her words were her mess and she needed to do what she could to clean them up. Someone else might just have to clean up the blood from the floor when Cecilia caught sight of her.

For fuck's sake, I'm a fucking baby. It seemed to be the only way to describe her as Lorna attempted to pull her shit together. She knocked quickly and pulled her hand back almost immediately, hoping that perhaps Cecilia was asleep or just not in the mood for company and wouldn't answer. Sure, it would mean that she would have to drag her ass down here again and gather up all of the hiding courage she used to have but Lorna couldn't help but look for excuses to step away and leave this task for another day no matter how much she couldn't wait to have it done. If there was enough of her left over after Cecilia declared this conversation done then Lorna was going to have to replenish her lacking courage with the liquid kind sometime very soon. "Cecilia? It's...um...Lorna." If anything was thrown at the door she would know just not to come back at all.

Hello and welcome to Lorna Dane's shipper, now that she is her own person instead of the possessed puppet it's time to get to properly scheming with her! So we've a pretty open slate here and many things have all ready been schemed but there is always room for more and always room for wonderful shifty things.

Friends, we need all sorts, especially ones to get into trouble with and others to be in something of a role model position. She somewhat fluctuates between the two although will certainly be evening out much closer to the responsible side of things but right now it's the time for building that from scratch. So bring on everything and anything between those two poles!

Enemies, Lorna can be a pretty forceful personality although at this moment she is still finding her feet after everything that happened. Once she's got her footing, however, she'll surely rub some people the wrong way with her inability to take nonsense and her temper getting the better of her.

Family, well, it just keeps cropping up and cannot wait for more!

Lovers, I'm hoping to get things nice and complicated so definitely looking forward to any suggestions there.

Who's up for some cheesily complicated superpowered love triangle where, more often than not, the main point of the triangle will probably be telling the others to get bent? Bobby Drake here is being requested by both Alex Summers and Lorna Dane for some old-fashioned silliness while we go about our mutant mayhem.

So what do we need for Bobby here? Honestly he's pretty open! Play around with his background however much you like but we will need him at the school eventually to be certain. Personality-wise it'd be nice to see a pretty old-school canon representation of him because who doesn't like some fun and games Bobby Drake about? Bring on the jovial accidental jackass and we can all scheme together!
