In the fall of 2015, some thirty odd years after the existence of mutants became public, Professor Charles Xavier (along with his old friend, Erik Lehnsherr) opened the doors of his ancestral home in Westchester, New York to mutant youth seeking a place where they could gain a college education without fear of persecution.
In addition to providing a sanctuary, both men also offered the chance for each and every student to be a vanguard of change for their kind by training to become part of a team known as the X-Men: a 'superhuman team' that was meant to prove mutant kind's worth to the world by protecting both groups from threats posed by either side.
Originally this vigilante group was not meant to debut for many years but when some of the students were kidnapped by a styled mutant messiah known as Apocalypse to be transformed into living weapons of destruction that threatened the very world as we know it the team was forced to take action. Now they are the only thing standing between humanity's impending extinction and a very dark future where only the strongest survive under the rule of a madman who believes himself a living god.
Will it really be a better world if they do manage to save everyone with support of the Mutant Registration Act rising quickly in the wake of the Horsemen's attacks? Stick around and find out!
Magneto: "That was really Xorn's twin brother possessed by the sentient mould, Sublime, pretending to be me, pretending to be Xorn."
Beast: "That defies all logic."
Magneto: "Ohhh like none of you have ever died before!"
